Tamper protection: the camera looks after itself

If the camera phone is lifted, moved or unplugged from the charger, it raises the alarm, with a siren or silently. Disarming only after signing in again.

When someone tampers with the camera

A camera that can simply be unplugged or turned away only protects to a limited extent. With tamper protection the camera phone watches itself. When armed it raises the alarm if it is shaken or its position changes, if the charging cable is pulled or if the lens is covered. Lens detection only works in light, though.

Siren or silent notification

You decide how the camera reacts: with a shrill siren at full volume and a notification to everyone in the household, or only with a silent notification. The default is the siren. If the phone then lies still for a while, the siren stops, the system stays armed and sounds again on new movement.

Arming and disarming

You arm the protection in the viewer or on the phone itself, with a delay of 25 seconds by default to walk away. Disarming only works after signing in again with password, Google or a four-digit PIN set beforehand. The running session is deliberately not enough, so that nobody can switch off the protection with an unlocked phone.

Each trigger individually

Movement, charging cable and covered lens can be switched on and off separately, each with its own response. So you can, for example, treat the charging cable strictly but forgo a siren for a slight shake.

What the protection cannot do

A phone that is switched off or in airplane mode can no longer be protected. The server then reports that the camera is offline. More about the honest limits can be found in the article about alarm systems.
